FBR Chairman Nisar Khan to be promoted to BS-22

ISLAMABAD: Federal government has decided to promote Federal Board of Revenue Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan in the grade 22 from 21, it is learnt.

During upcoming high power board meeting FBR chairman and other officers of different departments will be promoted.

The post of chairman had been upgraded in past and usually the officer of BS-22 is selected for the post. And if any eligible officer of BS-21 is selected for the post of chairman, he is promoted later in BS-22.

Inland Revenue Member Dr. Muhammad Irshad of BS-21 would also be promoted in next scale. However, Stratgic Planning Reforms and statistics Member Dr. Muhammad Iqbal of BS-20, Regional Tax Office (RTO) Chief Commissioner Shad Muhammad and Chief Commissioner Faisalabad RTO Muhammad Tanvir will also be promoted in next scale BS-21. The decision in this regard would be taking in first week of December.
