FBR Chairman Nisar to preside over meeting with traders today

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will hold a meeting with traders associations regarding SRO 608. The meeting will take place in conference room of the FBR headquarters.

Sources said that prominent among those who will attend the meeting include Advisor to Prime Minister on Revenue Haroon Akhtar, Member Policy IR Rehmatullah Wazir while Mohammad Yawar will represent traders community in the meeting.

Sources said that traders demands amendment in registration rules of SRO 608. According to traders, the government should include those traders in tax net whose income is Rs 5 million per year. They also appealed to the government to remove the clause of installation of air conditioned in shop.

Businessmen are demanding amendments in registration rules of SRO. Some traders are of the view that if the government will not accept their demands they will observe strike.
