LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) chairman Tariq Bajwa spent a busy in Lahore on Monday as he attended a marathon meeting with the customs and taxation officials. He discussed and reviewed the revenue situation and future strategy to enhance tax net.
The FBR chairman also visited Model Customs Collectorate and held a meeting with the central region chief collector of customs and collectors of the region.
The customs top officials thoroughly briefed the FBR chairman about the present standing of the revenues and explained about the future planning for achieving the targets.
The meeting was attended by Customs Chief Collector Rozi Khan Burki, Collector Lahore Preventive, and Customs Collector Multan and Customs Collector Faisalabad Tauseef Qureshi.
Bajwa appreciated untiring efforts of Chief Collector Rozi Khan Burki and Collector Lahore Preventive Mukaram Jah Ansari for the successful launch of Weboc system at the Wagah Land Customs Station.
He urged the collectors of the region to put their efforts to introduce the Weboc system at other land customs stations.
