ISLAMABAD: The Chairman FBR has fulfilled his promise with 121 deputy superintendents of customs by promoting them to superintendents. Now the Chairman FBR has asked the newly promoted officers to work on their former positions with the new promotions intact.

Due to an initiative taken by few Collectors of Model Customs Collectorates and Chief Collector North Sarwat Tahira Habib with the Chairman FBR that after the promotion of deputy superintendents, the working strength has reduced as all the freshly promoted officials have been posted out of their collectorates.
The collectors also told the Chairman FBR that after the posting of said 121 officials the situation has brought the working of the customs collectorates to a grinding halt and that too at a critical point when the financial closure is just three months away. It was also told that the Chairman FBR should kindly allow 121 promoted officials of BS-16 to continue performing their duties at their collectorates where they were working at the time of promotion.
