FBR chief upgrades post of IR Audit Officer from BS-16 to BS-18

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan has upgraded the post of Inland Revenue Audit Officer (IRAO) from BS-16 to BS-18.

The decision was taken in pursuance of the judgement of Lahore High Court dated 24.05.2011 in writ petition No. 21651/2010 upheld by Supreme Court of Pakistan vide order dated 22.04.2016 and as approved by Establishment Division vide O.M. No. 8/4/2010-R-I dated 26.08.2016 and Finance Division O.M. No. F.No. 2(3)/R-2/2016-723 dated 16.11.2016.
