ISLAMABAD: With the aim to minimise cross-jurisdiction input tax frauds and false declarations, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has circulated the draft of the “Authorisation of Data Sharing” to seek monthly revenue data from the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB), Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA), Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Revenue Authority (KPRA) and Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA).

Under the draft, the FBR will have full access to monthly returns data of the provincial revenue authorities, so that cross-jurisdiction input tax frauds and false declarations could be prevented through verification of input tax claims. The draft would also resolve disputes relating to reconciliation of cross-jurisdiction between the tax authorities.
