Sources told Customs Today that FBR still have to clear pending refund claims amounting to Rs250 billion. Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar promised in his budget speech that government will clear all refund claims till October. But due to slow process the payment of refunds are being delayed. Sources said that FBR have to clear huge payment refund claims of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited and Pakistan State Oil.
It is necessary to mention here that Sui Southern Gas Company Limited submitted RPO in 2014 but the department still failed to get its refund claims despite being a government organization.
