FBR collects Rs 560.9 billion in first quarter of FY 2014-15

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue collected Rs 560.92 billion in first quarter of current fiscal year which is Rs 57.91 billion more than the Rs 501.87 collected last year during the same period.

As per details, FBR has collected 11.8 percent more revenue in first quarter than the last year. The revenue collected in this period also included Rs 27.66 billion refund and rebate.

The revenue authority collected Rs 67.90 billion customs duty in first three months of current fiscal year. In September FBR collected Rs 238.01 billion revenue which includes Rs 7.88 rebate and refund. Inland Revenue leaded all departments of FBR in tax collections as it collected Rs 493.13 billion domestic taxes in first quarter, Rs 210.89 billion in September, which was Rs 447.01 billion last year during same period and same head.

The FBR collected Rs 267.94 billion sales tax in first quarter of fiscal year 2014-15 which included Rs 99.49 billion of September.

FBR has collected Rs 143 billion sales tax on import in first quarter of the year, including Rs 53 billion sales tax collected in September. The revenue board collected Rs 124 billion domestic tax in quarter of current year, in which Rs 46.48 billion was collected in September. The board also collected Rs 24.58 billion excise duty, which included Rs 11.3 billion collected in September.
