ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has provisionally collected Rs 625 billion during first quarter (July-September) 2016-17 against Rs 600 billion during same period last fiscal, reflecting an increase of Rs 25 billion.
Sources told Business Recorder here on Friday that the provisional revenue collection of the FBR would cross Rs 625 billion on compilation of final figures in coming days.
In 2015-16, according to month-wise and quarterly growth trends last fiscal year started with healthy growth of around 20 percent in July, but it sharply plummeted to just less than 2 percent in August, rose to 14.8 percent in September 2015. The overall growth achieved during first quarter of 2015-16 was 11.6 percent.
