FBR collects Rs2,514b in nine months and 28 days with 9% growth

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue has collected Rs2,514 billion revenue from the July 1, 2016 to the first 28 days of April, 2017, with nine per cent growth over the same period of last year.

The FBR collected Rs2,309 billion revenue during nine months and 28 days of the fiscal year 2016-17. The country’s top revenue authority collected Rs1002 billion under the head of income tax during the nine months and 28 day of current fiscal year against the income tax collection of Rs896 billion during the same period of last fiscal year. It collected Rs1029 billion sales tax from the July 1, 2016 to the first 28 days of April, 2017 against Rs1036 billion of previous year’s collection. The Board collected Rs307 billion federal excise duty as compared to Rs385 billion FED of last year.
