FBR collects Rs5b under Amnesty Scheme till June 22

ISLAMABAD: The government has extended the time-frame for receipt of payment in order to make easy the procedure of Amnesty Scheme. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has collected Rs5 billion of revenue under the scheme.

Official sources told that Federal Board of Revenue has already established special facilitation cell for amnesty scheme and deployed four officers namely Talha Aziz Khan, Staff Officer to chairman FBR, Usman Ahmed Khan, Secretary Income Tax Policy, Special Assistant Akber Ali, Kashif Younis Second Secretary under the supervision of Member Information Technology Khawaja Adnan Zaheer.

Sources also told that till date Rs470 billion worth of black property has been revealed under this amnesty scheme while the FBR is hopeful to further collect revenue of Rs100 billion under this scheme, however, only 7 days are left in this scheme.

Meanwhile, FBR has received property details of 55 Pakistanis from UAE government where FBR has inquired property details of around 100 Pakistanis from UAE government, sources added.
