FBR seeks applications from Class-IV employees of Faisalabad RTOs for promotion as LCDs

FAISALABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Commissioner HRM Islamabad, has sent a letter to all the commissioners of the Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) in Faisalabad to seek applications from BS-IV employees who are eligible for promotions as the lower division clerks (LCDs).

Sources told Customs Today that Inland Revenue (IR) Commissioner (HRM) Farooq Ahmed Khan issued a notification No: CIR/HRM/RTO/Fsd/1040, asking the eligible employees to apply for their promotions as LDCs under promotional quota.

It is pertinent to mention here that some posts of LDCs are vacant against quota for eligible Class-IV staff having matriculation qualifications with typing speed of 30 words per minute and they are asked to apply until May 9, 2017 for the posts.

Sources said that Class-IV employees were also waiting for their promotions since long and some are already working on the posts. They added that department should encourage the employees by giving them promotions, adding the FBR must lay down a plan regarding the long delayed promotion of employees. The sources also said that skilled workforce will enhance the tax base and will also enable the FBR to collect more revenues by speeding up the recovery process.
