ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has reduced sales tax up to 17 percent on supply of petroleum products during the month of September 2017.
The FBR issued SRO 867(I)/2017 and reduced the sales tax on petrol to 17 percent from 20.5 percent, showing reduction. Similarly the sales tax rate on high speed diesel oil has been reduced to 30 percent from the previous level of 35.5 percent.
However, the sales tax on kerosene and light diesel oil will remain at zero percent during September 2017.
