LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to take action against luxury vehicles whose owners are failed to deposit token tax till date. The FBR will freeze bank accounts of all these tax defaulters.
The FBR sources told Customs Today that during first phase, the FBR will freeze bank accounts of those defaulters who are without National Tax Numbers. Source also added that before freezing bank accounts FBR will issue notices to defaulters for payment of taxes and those who will not respond to these notices their bank acconts will be freezed.
According to the official figures during the current financial year till October 14106 luxuary vehicls were imported from differnt countries and only 4041 vehicles imported in the month of October. On the other side Chairman FBR has ordered to all Collectors and commissioners to meet the target of current financial year.
