FBR to transfer senior officials in field formation Collectorates

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to bring some changes in top bureaucracy of the field formation Collectorates, it is learnt here.

Sources informed Customs Today that the high-ups of the FBR, including Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan and Member Customs Nasir Masroor Ahmad have decided to bring some changes at the top bureaucracy in field formation Collectorates before ending the third quarters of the fiscal year 2016-17 in order to get even more fruitful results in revenue generations and achieving the set revenue targets during the last two quarters of the year.

According to the sources, the FBR management is going to make some transfers and postings of Grade-BPS 19 and Grade-BPS-20 within the Collectorates of MCC-Appraisement (West), MCC-Appraisement (East) and MCC-Port Muhammad Bin Qasim.

Few names of officers including Dr Owais Agha Jawwad, Gul Rehman and Imtiaz Ahmed are being expected to take charge of any of three field formation Collectorates. However, no final decision in this regard has yet to be taken.

Currently, Dr Farid Iqbal Qureshi is looking after the charge of Collector-MCC Appraisement (West), Ashadd Jawwad is looking after the charge of Collector-MCC Appraisement (East) and Mukarram Jah Ansari is serving as Collector-MCC Port Muhammad Bin Qasim.
