FBR decides to provide record of FY 2014-15 to APGR for audit

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has agreed to provide record of Fiscal Year 2014-15 to Auditor General of Pakistan (AGPR) for audit.

According to sources, the FBR will provide record on case to case basis and the  cases which were selected for audit, auditor general can get record of that from the commissioner inland revenue and for this purpose the FBR has directed all chief commissioners and commissioner inland revenue to follow the instructions.

Sources added that the FBR has directed all field formations to provide details of taxpayers, including withholding tax statements to the Auditor General of Pakistan for audit.

It is important to mention here that auditor general was facing problems to get record of taxpayers for audit in the regional tax offices Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Quetta due to which audit work was effecting.
