FBR decides to seek assistance of LEAs to take action against notorious smugglers

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) decided to get support of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) Pakistan Army, and Rangers to arrest notorious smugglers who are operating their network from Punjab, Khyber Pukhtonkhawa (KP) and Baluchistan.

Sources said that Directorate General Customs Intelligence and Investigation already finalized a list of notorious smugglers who are involved in smuggling across the country. FBR authorities also obtained the data of their cases which are under proceedings in court. FBR is also holding consultations with lawyers in this regard.

It is necessary to mention here that FBR is receiving complaints that some sound smugglers network is operating in different parts of the country and lot of cases are already registered against them but they are still trying to make attempts of smuggling.
