FBR declares filing of Currency Declaration Form mandatory for passengers

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed aviation department to make sure all airlines who are operating in the country are fully implementing the requirements of filling Currency Declaration Form (CDF) by the passengers.

Official sources told Customs Today that Federal Board of Revenue has made it mandatory for every passenger travelling “in” “out” to Pakistan via air or road must has to fill Currency Declaration Form. The basic aim of filing the form is to curb Terrorism financing and currency smuggling in the country.

Sources added that in the board has inquired the value and origin of currency having by the passenger through currency declaration form. The FBR has further directed aviation department to upload the manually filled Currency Declaration Form by the passengers on the FBR online system WeBOC.

It is important to mention here that the board has also directed the Directorate General Reform and Automation to prepare a separate online WeBOC system especially for Currency Declaration Form.
