‘Ghulam Khan’ would now become the International Road Transport (TIR) border crossing point in line with the TIR Convention 2017.

Total customs-ports and customs-stations to be border customs stations for handling of TIR functions in Pakistan included Karachi, Gwadar, Taftan, Chaman, Torkham and Sust.

Pakistan became a member of TIR Convention 2017 which has 77 contracting parties including China, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey and all Central Asian Republics (CARs). In December, 2020 Gabd (Pakistan)-Reemdan (Iran) has been upgraded to international border crossing and now passengers/drivers can cross this border with valid visa.
