FBR directed to promote three employees of Faisalabad Customs

FAISALABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal (FST) has directed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to promote three customs officials to the post of inspector as they have passed examination for promotion.

According to the details, three employees of the Faisalabad Model Customs Collectorate moved the tribunal seeking promotion. The employees named Waseem Hussain Akhtar (BS-14), Ijaz Ahmad (BS-14) and Raja Ishtiaq (BS-7) appeared in promotion exams in 2002 and passed the exams.

Despite clearing the exams, they were not promoted on which they appealed to the FBR where the case was decided against them. Later, they moved the FST against the decision.

The FST after hearing the arguments decided the case in favour of the customs employees and directed the FBR to promote them to the said scale.
