FBR directs all chief commissioners IR to form committees with traders

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chief (IR-Operations) Bakhtiar Muhammad has issued notification for formation of committees.

A notification issued in this regard stated that all chief commissioners of Inland Revenue department should take following actions with immediate effect.

  1. Identify market(s) in the area of their jurisdiction and constitute committees after consultation with trade bodies for each market comprising of the following
  2. 1 officer of BS-16-17-18 or 4 representatives of the market

B             These committees shall operate under the control of zonal commissioners Inland Revenue of that market and perform following functions

I               registration of traders

Ii              Over-sight of the declared turn-over

The notification further stated that all chief commissioners Inland Revenue should send list of these committees latest by 15.11.2019 for notification by FBR.
