ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) directed its officials to strictly follow SOPs to prevent spread of COVID-19.
In an official order sent to all tax offices the FBR said that the officials were not serious about the SOPs issued by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
“It is observed the officials are not abiding with instructions given by NCOC,” the FBR said.
The FBR further expressed concerns that the officials had stopped wearing masks despite the cases were still on the rise. There is threat of fourth wave i.e. delta virus being highly transmissible and dangerous which is lurking in the country, the FBR added.
The FBR directed the officials to obey all the SOPs. The officials are strictly instructed to wear mask positively and maintain social distancing.
“All officials of FBR are directed to strictly again resort to social distancing and wear face masks positively failing which they will be proceeded against under relevant rules,” according to the official order.
