In an important announcement, the FBR has asked all PCS BS-17 officers from seniority No. 1 to 100 to complete their Performance Evaluation Reports (PERs) and Declaration of Assets (DAs) as a meeting of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for promotion from BS17 to BS-18 is being convened shortly.

It has been revealed that the majority of the officers have not yet completed their PERs and DAs, which are prerequisites for promotion to selection grades under Civil Servants Promotion (BS-18 to BS-21) Rules, 2019.

All BS-17 officers of PCS who are in the promotion zone are advised to ensure that their PERs and Declaration of Assets up to 30.06.2022 are submitted to the Board no later than 24th April, 2023.

The board has been making efforts to ensure that all eligible officers are considered for promotion in the forthcoming CSB meeting. However, the timely cooperation of officers in completing their service records is equally essential.

Any officer who fails to furnish the required documents by the due date of 24.04.2023 will be responsible for non-consideration, deferment or supersession.

The Reporting/Countersigning Officers have also been requested to immediately forward PERs of the aforesaid officers to the Board without any delay.

This announcement is of great importance to all BS-17 officers of Pakistan Customs Service who are eligible for promotion to BS-18. It is advised that all officers comply with the instructions to avoid any adverse consequences.
