According to an official notification, the Establishment Division has announced an upcoming meeting of the Central Selection Board (CSB) for the promotion of Inland Revenue Service (IRS) and Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) officers from BS-20 to BS-21 and from BS-19 to BS-20. All BS-19 and BS-20 officers of the IRS/PCS are required to ensure that their Performance Evaluation Reports (PERs) and Declaration of Assets, covering the period up to June 30, 2024, are submitted to the FBR by the specified deadline. The notification emphasizes that the timely completion of PERs and asset declarations is essential for consideration for promotions under the Civil Servants Promotion (BS-18 to BS-21) Rules, 2019.

The FBR has indicated that any officer failing to submit the necessary documents by the deadline will be solely responsible for their non-consideration, deferment, or supersession during the promotion process.
