FBR discontinues performance allowance of 806 Customs officials

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has discontinued the performance allowance of 806 Customs officers of BS-16 for three months as they failed to submit their declaration of assets.

According to the Board’s notification, FBR had been directing the officials to submit the details of declaration of assets. However, they did not bother to submit their declaration, resulting in disconnection of their performance allowance.

On failure to comply with the instructions circulated vide Circular bearing C.No.1(4)/M(HRM)/2012 dated 23.07.2012 and letters C.No.4(1)ERM/2013(Pt-III) dated 01.06.2015 and 03.06.2015 addressed to various field formations and non-filers, Performance Allowance admissible to the Customs officers, including Principal Appraisers, Appraisers, Examiners, Valuation Officers, Dy Superintendents, Inspectors, Sr Intelligence Officers, Intelligence Officers, Inspectors Preventive Service, Preventive Officers and Office Superintendents, belonging to various cadres has been for a period of three months or filing of their Declaration of Assets.
