LAHORE: The employees of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) have demanded compensation for working on Saturdays until June 30, 2016.
Sources told Customs Today that employees of FBR will avail their last Saturday today. Sources said that the FBR has taken this step due to final preparation of upcoming budget for 2016-17.
The Federal Board of Revenue has already issued a notification, directing all employees not to avail Saturdays as weekly holiday.
The FBR employees told Customs Today that they are ready to work with devotion to meet the target set for the fiscal year 2015-16, but the FBR should announce compensation for employees who work on Saturdays.
