FBR employees anxiously waiting for June 30

LAHORE: The employees of the Regional Tax Offices of the Federal Board of Revenue, are eagerly waiting for June 30 to enjoy Saturday as a holiday, because only five days are left in the current financial year.

As per details, the FBR employees in the office of the Regional Tax Office-I and II and Pakistan Customs also waiting anxiously for June 30, 2015.

As per schedule, the employees of all the federal government institutions enjoy two-day weekend but due to tax burden, the Federal Board of Revenue canceled Saturday’s holiday and also increased the office timing form 4pm to 5pm. The board did not pay anything to the employees for the extra time.

After the end of the current financial year, the employee will enjoy Saturday leave and will observe office timing from 9am to 4pm.

The employees told Customs Today that there has been a lot of workload during the last three to four months.
