ISLAMABAD: The employees union of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to move the Islamabad High Court (IHC) against freezing of performance allowance by the Ministry of Finance.

The union members said that an application has been prepared in which the federal government, Finance Ministry and the FBR have been made respondents. The application will be filed next week.

In the application, the employees have pleaded the court to restore the performance allowance at its earlier status.

It is important to mention here that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has disallowed to raise the performance allowance according to the basic salary. Earlier, performance allowance was increased when the salaries were raised.

Now, FBR employees could get performance allowance at a set rate, which will not be increased with salaries.
