ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will keep its offices open on Saturday, September 26, to receive duties and taxes from taxpayers.
The FBR ordered all Large Taxpayer Offices and Regional Tax Offices to remain open and operate as on a normal working day. All chief commissioners of inland revenue will be on duty, and all relevant field formations will remain functional.
This is not the first weekend opening this year. The FBR directed its field formations to stay open on May 23 and 24 to facilitate taxpayers and ensure the collection of duties and taxes.
It issued a similar directive for May 30 and 31. Field offices were also open on June 27 and 28, and the board extended working hours on the following days, keeping offices open until 8pm on Monday and until midnight on Tuesday
