ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has exempted the customs duty on import of electric vehicles Completely Buildup Unit (CBU) meant for transport of persons.
The FBR issued SRO 644(I)/ 2018 revealing that the federal government has exempted electric vehicles CBU meant for transport of persons, falling under Pakistan Customs Tariff (PCT) Code 8703.8090 of the First Schedule to the Customs Act, 1969, on the imports from the customs duty as in excess of 25 percent ad valorem.
