FBR extends date for filing income tax returns till 31st

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has further extended the last date for filing of the income tax returns of 2106 for the salaried individuals till October 31.

The last date for filing income tax returns by salaried persons was due to on August 31. The extension in date will facilitate salaried individuals.

The FBR, exercising the powers conferred upon it under Section 214A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, extended the date of filling of returns/statements for the Tax Year 2016.

The date of filing of returns of total income/statement of final Taxation which was due on August 31 and extended up to September 30 is further extended to October 31, said the notification.

The date of filing of income tax returns/statements of final taxation which was due on September 30 for Individuals and Associations of Persons is hereby extended to October 31, it added.
