Lahore: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Monday extended the date for payment of Sales Tax, Federal Excise Duty (FED) and filing of returns for all registered persons up to November 20.
A notification issued by FBR on Monday said that keeping in view of 9th and 10th Muharram holidays falling on November 14-15 and the weekend following immediately, the Board, in exercise of the powers conferred under section 74 of the Sales tax Act, 1990 and section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005, has extended the date of payment of Sales tax & FED and of filing of Sales Tax/Federal Excise returns up to November 20, 2013, for the tax period October, 2013 for all registered persons.
