ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday extended the deadline for filing sales tax and federal excise returns for the June 2025 tax term.
The FBR officials said that now the taxpayers could file their returns by August 8.
Earlier, it had been extended up to July 18 and later up to August 4.
The extension was announced under the Sales Tax Act, 1990 and the Federal Excise Act, 2005.
In this connection, instructions were issued to all chief commissioners of Inland Revenue, Large Taxpayers Office, Corporate Tax Office and Regional Tax Office.
The FBR officials said that the taxpayers had the last chance to escape late filing charges by filing the returns before the due date.
