FBR asks DGs, Chief Collectors, Chief Commissioners to declare assets

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue has directed all the chief commissioners, chief collectors and director generals of field formations to submit details of their assets and liabilities for the year ending on June 30, 2017 without further delay under the Rule 12 of the Government Servants Conduct Rules-1964.

The declarations of assets of officers are also required to be placed before the Promotion Board in compliance with the judgment of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Second Secretary ( ERM II ) Federal Board of Revenue Maqbool Elahi warned them that it may also be brought to the notice of all concerned that non-compliance of instructions tantamount to “ Misconduct “ in terms of the Government Servants Conduct Rules-1964 and therefore cognizable under the Government Servants Efficiency Rules-1973.
