FBR attaches bank accounts of model Mehreen Syed

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) attached bank accounts of renowned model Mehreen Syed due to non payment of income tax.

Sources told Customs Today, that model Mehreen Syed in her capacity as Director International Fashion Academy failed to submit her income tax returns amount to Rs1 million.

Sources told that FBR freeze bank accounts of model Mehreen Syed which she operates in Muslim Commercial Bank Main Market Gulberg branch. Sources told that Assistant Commissioner Inland Revenue Ali supervised the whole operation to freeze the bank accounts of model Mehreen Syed.

It is necessary to mention here that Federal Board of Revenue already expedited its efforts to recover outstanding amount from the tax defaulters and for this purpose they are using all available resources to recover pending revenue from tax defaulters. Sources told that FBR is going to freeze more bank accounts of tax defaulters in near future.
