LAHORE: The Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday seized bank accounts of cricketer Muhammad Hafeez over non-payment of taxes.
According to FBR, Muhammad Hafeez is a defaulter of Rs4.2 million in the form of income tax.
“We have written to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Sui Northern regarding Muhammad Hafeez,” it said.
Yesterday, media reports said that FBR also confiscated Misbah ul Haq’s SUV, but he rejected the reports as baseless.
“FBR checked the tokens and left,” he said.
