FBR ready to reshuffle recently promoted customs officers of grade 20, 21

KARACHI: A major re-shuffle in the top slots of the Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) is expected after the end of the current fiscal year, it is learnt here.

Sources informed Customs Today that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has prepared a list of the recently promoted officers of grade BS-20 and BS-21 to transfer them to different departments.

The sources revealed that the FBR would transfer and post the recently promoted customs officers, including Muhammad Javed Ghani, Yousuf Mako, Abdul Rasheed Shaikh, Muhammad Saleem Ranjha, Abdul Basit Chaudhry and Saeed Akram.

The sources further informed Customs Today that Muhammad Javed Ghani, an officer of BS-21, would be transferred to FBR Islamabad, while Yousuf Mako, an officer of BS-20, would be appointed as Collector-MCC Export, Abdul Rasheed Shaikh would be appointed as director general of the Directorate of Post Clearance Audit-Customs and Abdul Basit Chaudhry and Muhammad Saleem Ranjha are likely to be transferred to the FBR Islamabad. Saeed Akram, an officer of BS-20, would be appointed as Director-PCA (Customs).

It is pertinent to mention here that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has recently notified the promotion of 12 PCS officers into Grade BS-21 and 21 PCS officers into Grade BS-20.
