ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) obtained on Thursday the data from the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) of nearly 200,000 elites for tax collection.

According to details, the FBR is looking to follow the conditions imposed by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to avert the tax fraud.

In this regard, the FBR is now looking forward to collecting the tax from the elites in line with their actual income.

According to the FBR officials, the data will be helpful to identify the actual income of the citizens through their lifestyle, whether the rich people are paying their taxes completely or not. The business community has also been included in this category.

As of now, more than 5.2 million people had submitted the tax returns. Out of which, nearly two million had concealed their taxable income.

The FBR will launch the crackdown against those concealing their taxable income through speeding the enforcement campaign.
