FBR, GIZ to hold workshop for improving tax system

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), a German institute, is going to organise a workshop on ‘Good Governance–Result Area Taxation’ on August 18 and 19, 2015.

In workshop, FBR and GIZ would discuss five work plans in order to improve the tax systems in the country.

Officials will also take decisions regarding the continuation of the tax fairs which are being arranged by FBR to aware the public. They will also consider the suggestions pertaining to the radio programmes for tax education and to include the topic of tax culture in the curriculum.

These five issues are to promote FBR’s organisational development, strengthen FBR tax administration’s efficiency, promote FBR’s public relations, promote dialogue between the FBR and customers and draft the tax policy on the basis of facts.
