FBR grants concessionary duty on import of trailers components

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has granted concessionary duty rate of five percent on import of components for manufacturing and assembling of trailers.

The following components for assembly/ manufacture 5 percent of trailers have been allowed under SRO 559(I)/2017, namely:-

(2) Pneumatic suspension.

(3) ABS system.

(7) Mechanical Suspension.

(8) ASR Brake system.

(9) Pintle Hook.

(10) Wheel Rim (size 8.ox20).

(11) Hydraulic cylinder

(12) Hydraulic pump

(13) Hydraulic control/tipping valve

(14) Hydraulic tank

(15) Fuel/chemical trailer manhole cover

(16) Fuel/chemical trailer bottom valve

(17) Fuel/chemical trailer API adaptor valve

(18) F uel/chemical trailer overfill sensor

(19) F uel/chemical trailer vapor vent valve

(20) F uel/chemical trailer vapor recovery valve.

The FBR also allowed import of tyres and tubes at three percent.
