ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) exempted sales tax and additional sales tax on import of 52 fire fighting vehicles that were brought into the country to boost fire emergency system of Karachi.
The FBR issued SRO 136(I)/2021 to exempt the import of fifty two fire fighting vehicles having PCT Code 9941 and sub-code 8705.3000 by the federal government, from the whole of sales tax of seventeen percent and additional sales tax of three percent.
The federal government last month gifted 52 fire tenders in an effort to boost the city’s fire emergency system.
