FBR grants zero-rate ST facility on power supply to three textile units

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has granted zero-rate sales tax on supply of electricity to three textile units.

The FBR allowed sales tax zero-rating on supply of electricity to three textile units, including Farhan Weaving Factory under jurisdiction of Regional Tax Office (RTO) Faisalabad; Bazor Weaving Industry under jurisdiction of Corporate RTO Karachi; and GM Industry under jurisdiction of RTO Gujranwala.

The FBR directed Chief Commissioners of Inland Revenue of respective RTOs to coordinate with electricity providing companies regarding implementation of sales tax zero rating.

The FBR also asked Faisalabad Electric Supply Company, K-Electric and Gujranwala Electricity Supply Company to implement zero rating of sales tax to the said companies.
