FBR holding balloting to audit tax cases

ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar is presiding over the computer balloting ceremony for selection of audit cases here at the FBR House on Thursday.

Besides the FBR officers including the Director Generals of Intelligence & Investigation Customs and Intelligence & Investigation Inland Revenue, Presidents of different chambers and trade associations including Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Islamabad and Rawalpindi tax bar associations have also been invited to observe the balloting process. Meanwhile, Chief Commissioner of Inland Revenue Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU), Islamabad; Chief Commissioner of Inland Revenue Regional Tax Office (RTO), Islamabad and Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue RTO, Rawalpindi will also be on the occasion.

The computer balloting is being held for selection of audit cases up to 12% of total returns filed by taxpayers for the Tax Year 2013 and results of the ballot shall be uploaded on FBR’s website www.fbr.gov.pk.
