FBR holds customs collectors conference today

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will organize a conference of the collectors of Customs today (Wednesday) at the Conference Hall of the FBR Headquarters Islamabad. The main agenda of the conference is to review the revenue analysis, strategy to achieve targets in the coming months, challenges and the way forward.

It was told by sources that invitations for participation has been forwarded to the Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Islamabad, Directorate General of Customs Internal Audit Karachi, Directorate General of Customs PCA Islamabad, Directorate General of Customs Valuation Karachi, Directorate General of Customs Transit Trade Karachi, Directorate General of Customs Training and Research Karachi, Directorate General of Customs IPR Islamabad, Directorate General of Customs Reforms and Automation Karachi, Directorate General of Customs IOCO Karachi, Chief Collector Appraisement Karachi, Chief Collector Enforcement Karachi, Chief Collector Central Lahore, Chief Collector North Islamabad, Collector MCC Appraisement East/West Preventive Karachi, Collector Model Customs Collectorate Port Qasim Karachi and Collectors Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement/Preventive Lahore, Haiderabad, Multan, Islamabad, Gwader Faisalabad, Quetta, Gilgit-Baltistan, Samberial and Peshawar.

The programme will begin with the opening remarks of Member Customs Nasir Masroor as Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Revenue. The minister of state will address the participants second to the collectors and the FBR chairman will address after the minister.

After the speeches, a round of presentations will be started and the first presentation will be presented by Collector Customs MCC Multan and the other presentation will be presented by Collector Customs MCC Hyderabad. Random presentations will be given by Collector MCC Islamabad, Collector Port Qasim Karachi, Collector MCC Peshawar, Collector MCC Faisalabad, Collector Appraisement West Karachi, Collector MCC Samberial, Collector Preventive Karachi, Collector Preventive Lahore, Collector Appraisement Lahore, Collector MCC Gilgit-Baltistan, Collector MCC Quetta, Collector Appraisement East Karachi and the last presentation will be presented by Collector MCC Gawader.

The sources said it has been advised to all the collectors that their presentations should be crispy, precious and to the point. Each presentation will carry 10-to-12-minute time.
