FBR holds outreach education & training  seminars

LAHORE: As the due date for filing return of income for the tax year 2019 is drawing nearer, outreach education and training seminars/workshops arranged by Regional Tax Office-II, Lahore are gaining momentum.  Kiosks and return receipt countershave been established at all prominent commercial areas of Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura and Nankana.

In order to ensure optimum filing of returns from out of tax net salaried persons on the payroll of provincial and federal government, twenty eight workshops / training seminars havehitherto been conducted by Regional Tax Office-II, Lahore in various government departments including I.G Police, Civil Secretariat, LESCO, Pakistan Railways, Sessions Courts, WASA, SBP, Services Hospital, Government College University, BISE Lahore, etc. enlightening the un-registered persons with simple online registration, E-enrollment, return filing and tax payment procedures. Help desks have also been established in the concerned government departments with multimedia facility so as to assist and guide employees.

The guest speaker CCIR,concluded the animated session by expounding upon benefits of being filer/active taxpayer, addressing the queries and concerns of business community and assuring facilitation by the department to foster the ease of doing business.  The outreach workshops and seminars shall continue till the closing date for filing of returns in order to encourage filing of return of income by salaried and business persons.
