LAHORE: President of All Pakistan CNG Association Ghiyas Paracha has said that the FBR is illegally collecting enhanced sales tax and income tax from the CNG sector.
According to a statement issued here, Ghiyas Paracha said that the issue of sales tax will increase problems of the CNG sector. He urged all the stakeholders to resolved this issue on priority basis.
He said that Supreme Court had directed government to slash 26 percent sales tax on the CNG sector to seventeen percent which was not followed. Rather a deceptive formula was introduced which shows the sales tax 17 percent but its impact on CNG operators is not less than thirty two percent.
The leader of CNG sector said that some sectors have been exempted from taxes while the CNG sector that pays taxes in advance is being pushed to wall.
