FBR imposes 1% additional customs duty on cotton import

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), through SRO 654(I)/2017, has imposed one percent additional customs duty on import of cotton from July 15, 2017.

The FBR amended the SRO 1178(I)/2015 under which one percent additional customs duty had been imposed.

The FBR had excluded the one percent customs duty on import of cotton through SRO 38(I)/2017 issued on January 23, 2017. However, latest SRO deleted the PCT 52.01 and 52.03 from the list of goods which were allowed additional duty relaxation.
