FBR impounds a vehicle of Al Faisal Export Mill on tax evasion

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax office-I (RTO-I) has impounded a vehicle of Al Faisal Export Mill on evasion of Rs 214 million Sales Tax.

As per detail, RTO-I detected that Al Faisal Export Mill is involved in Sales Tax evasion by breaching the law of the FBR and it has evaded almost Rs 214 million in term of Sales Tax.

After detecting the tax evasion, Regional Tax office-I Lahore issued recovery notices to the owner of the mill many times to pay the evaded amount but he did not follow the direction on which department taking legal action has impounded the vehicle of the tax defaulter.

Commissioner Inland Revenue (IR), Asim Majeed Khan has ordered the officers to take strict actions against such elements causing heavy loss to national exchequer.
