FBR issue show cause notices to six companies involved in tax evasion

KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) authorities issued show cause notices to six Karachi based companies.

Sources of Regional Tax Office-II (RTO—II) told Customs Today that these companies showed their less inome as compared to their income of previous years. These companies incudes Kamran Textile Private Limited, Bawarchi Textile, Unique Chemicals and Export, Shoaib Raza and Sons, Shumaila Knitwear and Taj Chemicals. Sources said that RTO authorities received secret information that these companies earning handsome amount but avoiding to pay taxes willfully.

In their notices FBR asked the management of these companies to present themselves alongwith sales record in seven days. It is necessary to mention here that FBR authorities already issued notices to Hanan Sugar Mills, and Nozi Wahite Cement due to tax evasion in recent past.
