FBR issues final tax notice to ADIR & sub registrar for the recovery of Rs32.5m

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) issued final tax notices to Assistant Director Inland Revenue (Saddar) and Sub Registrar Cantonment region for recovery of Rs32.5 million outstanding dues and taxes.

Sources told Customs Today that Regional Tax Office issued income tax notice to Assistant Director Inland Revenue Office (Saddar) and Sub Registrar Cantonment region for non-payment of their income taxes collected from the registry of land property in their region.

Assistant Director is defaulter of almost Rs 15.5 million for not paying taxes collected for the registration of property and transfer fee from owners in last few months of current fiscal year 2018-19.

The Regional Tax Office has also issued another final tax notice to Sub Registrar Inland Revenue of Cantonment area. Sub-Registrar was defaulter of almost Rs17 million. Tax Authorities of Inland Revenue has started action against them for the recovery of their due taxes and they have been asked to pay their due taxes within 10 days.

Regional Tax Office will take strict action against them if they are failed to deposit taxes in given period and their official bank accounts will be attached for the recovery of said amount after ten days.

The Federal Board of Revenue has directed RTO Multan to accelerate recovery from defaulters to meet assigned revenue task during March.
